When I edit a Label on Gmail to change the label under which it is nested, after eM Client synchs, it shows the folder as correctly moved, but it no longer contains the messages. How do I synch the messages to the folder? Thanks,
Hello Zonenshine,
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience. This is unfortunately caused by Gmail not sending the correct information after the sub-label’s name changes and since this is the case, we are unable to change this behavior. To get the messages back into the correct folder in eM Client, you will need to manually drag them back (You could try sorting the messages in All mail by category and looking for ‘Unknown’). It seems however that Google has repaired this behavior recently, maybe your sub-labels are synchronized correctly now?
With apologies,
Maurice
Maurice,
Thanks for the information. The behavior is still the same, with sub-labels appearing empty if the nesting is changed. However, if an action is applied to the messages in the label, such as “Mark as Unimportant”, they will then be picked up in the next synchronization process.
