Em client accessing gmail suddenly got much much slower mid-day on 3/30/15. Android phone performance is ok and MS Outlook performance on the same PC and network is ok. Deleted and re-installed, cleaned up Inbox and Trash to no effect.

Appears to be cleared up although it is mystifying why Outlook and Android both worked ok and both of which use imap I believe.
Seems OK as of today 01/04
