Gmail offline only donwloading headers (most of the time)

Hi there.
I have a gmail account setup to download off-line e-mails and attachments.

I usually leave the computer for several ours while I do other stuff, with emclient open.

When I return to the computer, I can see all new e-mails have been downloaded to my inbox, but when I try to open them (by clicking on them), it takes several seconds until I can see the body of the message, as if emclient would only download the headers, not the entire mail. One can see the horizontal dots below the header moving, as if emclient is downloading the message.

This happens “most of the time” and for “most e-mails”, but not always. It is annoying as one tends to waste quite some time waiting, sometime as much as 10 seconds when the connection is slow.

I have checked my settings to make sure that offline for the imap account is setup correctly, so I don’t know what else could be the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

can you please try turning on the offline mode in File > Work Offline, and check if the messages load or not?

Hello Ankan, can you please follow my advice above and check if the messages download? If not, are you using any security software on your computer, that may have disabled the application’s ability to connect to the server?

Thanks Paul for such a quick reply.
I have tried whatever you suggested.
Messages are loading now. But now and then i am getting the avobe error for which i have taken a screenshot.

Also when online synchronization of the messages are being done it is taking forever to complete so. Screenshot is attached.

Also while sending email also I am getting following error for which I have attached the screenshot below.

Are you using ay security software on your computer, that may have disabled the application’s ability to connect to the server? If so, can you please check if the issue persists after disabling the security temporarily?

If the error reoccurs, while security software is disabled, can you please navigate to the “Log” tab, copy the content of the log and submit it to us here on the forum?
