I have disabled the lesser security with gmail account. I have tired turning off two step. I have tired deleting the account and adding it again in the client.
How the hell do you make this client work with gmail accounts?

I use Gmail all the time with no issues. Yahoo, on the other hand is a different matter.

Port: 993
SSL/TLS on special port (Legacy)
SMTP
smtp.gmail.com
Port 587
Force use of SSL/TLS
Note the differences in SSL settings.

are you running the latest update of eM Client? There should presently be no gmail-related issues.
Is there any error message when you try to set up your account? Could you copy it for me?
