Gmail and IMAP Configuration Challenge

Is there a way using IMAP to cause all messages to be archived on the Gmail server and NOT on the local hard drive? Thunderbird insists on keeping the ALL MAIL file full on the local computer.

If eM Client operates the same way as Thunderbird in this regard, maybe I’ll just have to revert back to POP.

Hello,

You can cancel mark off in Tools - Accounts - your gmail account - IMAP and Under offlie "Download messages for offline use.

you can find archive button for gmail on main toolbar that will send message from inbox into All mail folder
