Frustrating time reading email threads

I replied to someone. In my reply I imbedded a PNG file. If I look in the account’s Inbox or sent folder I see the original email from the person. If I click on the message I see the entire text of their email. In the Inbox or the sent folder I can see my reply. I can see the text I sent but the embedded PNG file is shown as an attachment, If I click on the message I replied with, the text of the message disappears and all I wind up seeing is the png as an attachment.

What the heck is going on? Why can I not see my reply and the contents of the embedding graphic when I click on my sent email? The format is HTML!

What happens if you embed a .jpg instead ?

Also what version of eM Client do you have ?

When I sent the email to the person I dragged and drop the PNG file into the body of the email. Using 10.3.2619 (1e54f4a)

When I sent the email to the person I dragged and drop the PNG file into the body of the email.

To embed an image I normally “paste it into the email body” rather than dragging it in, or it usually only ends up as an attachment and not embedded.

If that still doesn’t work pasting it into the body, then copy the image into eg: Paint.net (Pc) or Pinta (Mac) and then copy and paste that into eM Client body which then should fix the problem.

Ya copying and pasting the file seems to work ok.

It depends WHERE you are dragging the image to. If you drag it into the upper part of the window (where to, cc and subject is) it is attached as a file. If you drag it into to bottom part of the window (the composer), it will be shown as inline image.

I did the latter and I put some text above and right after the graphic. When I went to look at the conversation all I seen was the PNG as an attachment. The text I entered was nowhere to be seen. I open Thunderbird email app I see the graphic and the text above and below the graphic.
