From Menu Showing Ghost Account

Dear all,

We have a small problem with the from drop down list when creating a new email.

We set up a new email account then deleted because it didn’t work but then it was re added in a working state.

The account is not listed in the accounts list or the send/receive options but it shows 2 of same accounts that were setup.

If you try to use the deleted account it fails, it works perfectly for the new account that was added.

Any advise would be great.

Go to Menu > Accounts, and make sure you only see one account there. If it is setup twice, you want to delete one of them. Make a backup using Menu > Backup before you remove any accounts, just in case you remove the wrong one.

If there is only one, click on the Alias button in the General tab, and make sure you have not added the same address as an alias.

What version of eM Client are you using?

Is the account setup as IMAP?

the version is 6 and it is imap yes.

Sorry, it has been many years since I looked at version 6. But the principle is the same, even if I get the menu options wrong.

Make a backup using Menu > File > Backup, just in case something goes wrong, then go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and remove the IMAP account.

Restart eM Client and add the account again using the Automatic Setup in Menu > Tools > Accounts.

See if there is any difference.
