Feature request: attach regular files in mail templates

Mail templates do not allow inserting regular files…Currently you can insert images and links but not regular files. My use case is to insert my encryption public key with all my outgoing emails. As a work around, I am sending this as a link at the foot of my emails near the signature. I would like to see the ability to simply attach the file directly without linking. Recipients who understand secure messaging will know what an attached file named ‘public.key’ is for. Obviously, manually attaching the file with every single email beats the purpose of having mail templates do this task.

If you go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Signing and Encryption > Account Policies, you can specify to include the public certificate with all outgoing messages.

Hi. Thanks for the quick reply.
I have that already turned on and have a key in the Certificates and Keys section. This is not working though. I tried reinstalling the app but that did not make a difference.

If you scroll down the list and make sure the option is also ticked for the specific account. It may be a bug that ticking All Accounts does not work.

I just tested it with the latest version available at http://www.emclient.com/release-history, and it works as expected.

Odd. It is not working for me for some reason. I also recreated the key just in case but again that did not make a difference. Here are screenshots of my settings.

What version of eM Client are you using?

7.1.33101.0

Sometimes installing the latest version available from http://www.emclient.com/release-history can fix these kind of errors. However, there are some issues with encryption in eM Client, especially in recent versions. The developers are aware of it and are working to fix it.

If you have a Pro License, please open a support ticket.

Ok Thank you. I look forward to using a future version with stable encryption. Keep up the good work.
