exiting client takes too long

When shutting down Windows, the client is not exiting fast enough for the soft kill to work, it leads to a hard kill and at startup EM Client is checking the database for issues…
What is EM Client doing upon “Exit” that takes that many seconds to close a mail client? 

I remember this was fixed at version 7.1.31658. 

If you are using an older version, please download the most recent available at http://www.emclient.com/release-history

7.1.33101.0 is the version I have which is a newer version than 7.1.31658 and still I have to wait up to 10 seconds for eM client to close.  Time to fix it.

You could go back to a pre-7.1.31658 version. You will have a faster shutdown, but will probably have to deal with the database check on restart. :wink:

tried rolling back…too late my database was upgraded to the newest version 7.1.33101.00

Interesting. I knew the earlier 7.0s had a different database structure, but I did not think that more recent ones did also.
