Yes.

It is a holiday here, so the bus was later than normal for a Monday. Then he was just driving along like he had all day to get where he was going. So an incredibly slow start.

Then, when I get to work I see that I am probably the only one working in the business district. All the coffee places are closed, so it is going to be very slow for the rest of the day.

Well I don’t have antivirus and I don’t have a VPN.

When I say everything, I mean everything. Taking forrever to download attachments, takinng forever to execute a search

As you don’t have anti-virus maybe your system has been infected,
I can’t help you anymore until you get it checked.
Personally I think not having anti-virus is irresponsible - you not only protect
yourself you protect others!

Can I assume you have re-booted your device?

Have you checked your Task Manager to see what may be affecting the CPU, MEMORY and DISK?

Todo extremadamente lento, ¿de verdad ?, definitivamente se prolongó mucho y supongo que no debe tener nada mejor que hacer hoy, también como @Gary dijo que hoy es un día festivo en el Reino Unido si es allí donde se encuentra.
