Events disappear quickly, Save to Wrong Folder

I noticed that the Event screen by default is saving Events to Contacts. When I change that to Calendar, the Events don’t disappear. How do I change the default from saving to Contacts to saving to Calendar? Thanks.

Hello Warren,
the default Calendar folder should be detected from your Default account settings.
Please open Menu>Tools>Accounts and check your Default account.
Does it have a CalDAV tab? If so, check the setting there.
Does it only have Mail settings? Please check the General tab for Default Calendar folder and make sure it’s set to your desired Calendar and not any Contacts folder.

If these steps do not help please provide more information about your setup - version number from Menu>Help>About, setup accounts, protocols used, etc.
