error setting up account

Error message says attempt to connect to my Verizon account failed. I opened account settings, wrote name and password, but nothing changed.

Is this a Verizon / AOL account?

You can check your settings in Menu > Tools > Accounts.

POP3:
port: 995
security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

SMTP:
port: 465
security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

IMAP:
port: 993
security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

If the settings are correct, and you still can’t connect, try disabling your anti-virus and firewall and try again.
