Error message when I attempt backup

When I start a backup, an error message appears saying:

“Cannot create target directly. Please check whether you have enough permission.” (sic).

I have easily created backups previously without changing any settings. Please help!

Hi, can you please go to Tools > Settings > General > Backup, check to what folder you’re backups are targeted to?
Check the permissions to that folder please, if the folder is not read only or try changing the folder if the backup works.

Also what version of eM Client are you currently using?
