I getting the attached error message on start-up
What can I do to cancel it?
Contact group name already exists
Close eM Client and then go online to https://contacts.google.com and press the “Hamburger menu” at the top left.
Then look for any eg: duplicate contact group labels or a problem with an existing contact group labels.
If there is no contact label duplicates or obvious contact label errors on any existing labels in Google contacts online, then if this is an IMAP Gmail setup, try running the repair on your contacts in eM Client which will resync your online contacts locally back to eM Client
“To repair eM Clients contacts”
Go to eM Client Contacts section, and then “Right click” on the word “Contacts” directly under your Gmail account and click “Properties” at the bottom. Then click the “Repair” tab at the top, and finally click “Repair”.
Note: The repair can take a little while as it clears the local cache in eM Client.
Lastly if repairing your Google contacts online makes no difference then you may need to go to “Menu / Accounts” and remove and readd your Gmail account.
Note: If you do remove and readd your Gmail account, make a manual backup first via “Menu / Backup” in case you need to restore for any reason. You can see when that completed in Show Operations via the dropdown on the right of Refresh.
I had to go to complete re-installation to get rid of the problem, but IT WORKED!!!
