Error internal sever error 500. Have version 7 only recently installed but keep getting this error message and relates to tasks, contacts, calendar etc

I assume it’s related to the Hotmail accounts. We apologize for the problems, but they are caused by ongoing migration of Hotmail account to an Exchange-based infrastructure on Microsoft’s end and there’s little we can do about it. Can you check whether your account has been migrated by logging into the web interface? Accounts that haven’t been migrate yet have large “Outlook.com” title in the lower-left corner, migrated ones have “Outlook Mail” there.

I meant upper-left corner, sorry. In that case your account may already be updated.

You can try to re-add the account to eM Client as Exchange account. Go to Tools -> Accounts, select " + " to add account and then click on Mail and Exchange. Enter your login details and see if it successfully connects or not. If it it does you can proceed with adding the account and then delete the old Outlook.com/Hotmail account in the Accounts dialog.

Unfortunately didnit work as ‘authentication’ failed.  Double checked email and password and OK.
