Es erscheint die Fehlermeldung “header limit reached”. Was sie bedeutet, kann ich mir vorstellen, aber wie kann ich diese Meldung verhindern? Wo kann man das “Header limit” einstellen?

It is a restriction on your email provider’s server and most likely it means that they have some arbitrary limit on the number of headers in the mail structure.
This can happen with some heavily forwarded messages or with messages with an excessive number of attachments. In order to get rid of it, you must delete the message as the server will never accept it. To do that click the Edit item link in the error popup, and from the message windows that appears select File > Delete.
Danke für die schnelle Antwort. Allerdings trat eine solche Fehlermeldung in den letzten Jahren mit der Version 8 des eM Clients nicht auf, erst seit dem Update auf die Version 9. Die betreffende Mail existierte auch schon vor dem Update. Es kann also nicht am Provider liegen, oder?
