Error code for Smtp for Gmail

First check that you have the following Gmail SMTP Settings via “Menu / Accounts”.

Now if you already have the above SMTP Gmail setting, then SocketErrorCode = TimedOut can also be caused by eg: Optionally Installed Firewall / Security programs, or Optionally installed Antivirus programs or VPN’s interfering with the mail client.

So if you have anything like that installed “other than what comes default with your OS”, try completely disabling those to test.

Lastly if nothing like the above optionally installed or disabling those made no differance, then try powering off your computer and modem / router and any internal lan switches if you have any as well for 1 minute, and then power everything back on incase its a physical connection issue.
