eMClient wont start after update

Hi… my wife’s laptop installation for eMClient updated yesterday. Now it doesn’t run. The shortcut on taskbar is there. Right click opens the menu, but nothing happens.
What should I do? Can I download the install file again and reinstall without causing damage? In case it matters… she’s using GMail.

You can do the following:

  1. Close and uninstall eM Client, making sure NOT to delete the database folder when asked. That will ensure all your data and settings are there later.

  2. If it exists, delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client folder.

  3. Download and install eM Client again.

    If your license is only for version 9, get it here.
    If your license is for version 10, get it here.

  4. Restart eM Client.

Thanks Gary… all done. It froze at about 80% during the uninstall. I cancelled and it still sat for 5 mins frozen so I had to reboot. Second go all good.
