I have been very happy using emclient but with this latest update it takes 15 to 20 seconds between when I hit compose and I see a new blank email. RAM/CPU/HDD are not the bottle neck. Posted this question when the new version was released, no reply, and frankly the search function on the forum is unusable. Can’t even search for the original post.

Out of interest Matt and Elwood, are you using mechanical hard disks or SSDs?

I asked Matt, because mechanical hard disks offer very poor performance with eM Client. That is obviously not your problem.
One thing you could try is to disable conversations. Menu > View > Conversations.
