Emclient stop working after sleep mode

Hello,

My emclient application stop working when my computer resumes from sleep mode.

I read several forum messages about this issue but no one seem to have solution.

I read that it can append when emclient can’t reach the database on a disk that is not yet available after sleep (a disk that take more time to be alive than the system disk) but my computer has only one drive and one partition (emclient is on the system disk…).

Each time it reopens, it takes a lot of time to verify the database (I have 7 mail accounts)…

Any idea ?

That’s related to the OS with how it sleeps.

I personally find if i manually shutdown in sleep mode rather than automatically going to sleep then eM Client is fine on wakeup / resume.

Automatically going to sleep can cause the app to eg: force close / kill it, which then will get database checking errors on startup, like when the computer is shutdown without closing eM Client first.

However “if you are already manually shutting down in sleep mode” & not automatically going to sleep, and using the latest eM Client V9 or V10, then see if you have any adjustments in the computer OS sleep mode settings. Eg: Some computers have “different types of sleep modes” available like, Hibrid, Hibernate & Standby. Your OS technical support can assist with that.

Apart from that, suggest to not set the laptop to sleep and “just run a screensaver”. Or close eM Client and shutdown normally at end of the day.
