emClient on Windows 11 does not correctly handle web.de 2FA authentication

Hi!
Hi! I’m using emClient 10.1.4588 (f11e2ab) on Windows 11 24H2.

As long as I was using web.de without 2FA authentication, everything was fine.

However, since I switched to 2FA things are different:
After all mails have been transferred from the web.de server emClient tells me to authorize again, and again: Clicking the OK button immediately brings up the same popup. So I have to click CANCEL to close the popup. Then NEW incoming messages will be shown and the szncroniyation will do its job again:

When I click the OK button, the same popup appears immediately. So I have to click CANCEL to close the popup the synchronization will work again.

Note: The password is OK and was accepted by web.de when I set up my account. So it is NOT a problem with a wrong password!

Quitting and restarting emClient will also start the same process as above (i.e. popup requiring re-authentification)!

According to web.de the procedure is simple:
To use external e-mail programs via POP3/IMAP or to integrate your WEB.DE calendar/address book (with CalDav or CardDav) into an external program, you can create application-specific passwords. You can then use this application-specific password for your external email program instead of your original password.
That’s exactly what I did!

Does anyone use 2FA with web.de and see similar problems?

BTW: Upgrading to emclient 10.3.1524.0 makes things even worse. The above popup will appear about every 2 minutes or (possibly) whenever a new sync is automatically initiated…
