emClient not seeing server emails

emClient 7.0, Dreamhost email account, POP3 and SMTP settings in emClient diagnostic OK.

I use Mailwasher to check email, then go to emClient to download emails (nothing left on server).

  1. emClient does not see emails on the server, while Mailwasher does.  Why?

  2. twice now, all the emails on my computer for this account vanished.  I had to import from a backup.  Why?

I have a second account with Comcast.net, and it works fine.

More info: Both Mailwasher and emClient have the same settings, both for POP3 and for SMTP. Mailwasher sees the mail headers just fine, and it can delete emails.   emClient can see the server (successful diagnostic), but does not see emails in the inbox.  Some of those were created by emClient as part of the diagnostic.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Could we ask if you get an error message of some kind? If that is the case, could you please post a screenshot of the error/any message that the program displays? Could you please also post the content of the third tab titled ‘Log’ in Menu -> Tools -> Operations?
