I get a mail into inbox. I forward mail to my wife, this is added to sent folder. I deleted this mail from sent folder and emclient also deletes the original mail from inbox. I do not want this to happen.

If you have conversations enabled, you need to delete mails in your sent folder by right-clicking individual messages in a particular conversation and deleting them, as deleting the entire conversation from the sent also deletes all incoming mails in that conversation.
