I’ve updated to the latest version (free license). Whenever i attempt to type in the notes field the application crashes - it invites me to send an error log but if I try to do so that closes too as well as emclient.
I store my contacts on google.
For the time being I have to edit notes using web based gmail.

When the error occurs, can you try to display the error, copy the content of the report and submit it to us here? Is that possible, if the applications quits immediately?
