Hello everyone,
Last week, emClient was updated to version 10.4.5326 on my Mac. Until this update, I regularly used emClient to open .msg files (saved Outlook messages).
Since the update, this no longer works. In the Finder, I can no longer assign emClient to the .msg file extension – the option is completely greyed out and cannot be selected.
Is this a known issue after the update to version 10.4.5326? Does anyone know of a workaround?
Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions!
Best regards
Hi,
it didn’t happen for me in the update; eM Client was still opening .msg files. But if I assign a different application in Finder, then I get the same greyed out selection as you when I try to go back.
I found a workaround to change the toggle in the window from “Recommended applications” to “All applications”. Then I can select eM Client again and it opens the .msg files just fine.
Hope this helps.
Oh! Shame on me! I did not change the toggle in the window from “Recommended” to “All applications”.
That was it - Thank you!
Yes, this helps, but eM Client really should be listed in Recommended apps.
