Emails are automatically marked as read

Emails are received and without opening them, or clicking on them, they go from “unread” to “read”.
This has only started happening since the latest upgrade to version 7.2.34711.0

It doesn’t matter if the Mail - Settings option for "Mark message read after xx seconds is checked or not.
Mail is NOT being read on another client / device.

This makes using eM Client very difficult as it is impossible to see which emails have been dealt with.

I can see others had this problem before - what is the solution ?
