Why the picture in using is different from setting?
In red circle is picture in account setting in em client
The top left picture looks like a manually added picture (avatar) either in your Contacts section or in your Account setup. If thatâs not correct others will update this thread.
To change your Contact Avatar picture locally
Go to âContactsâ at the bottom left of eM Client.
Then âscroll downâ and find that contact.
Then âopen that contactâ and edit the avatar.
To change Your Account Avatar locally.
Go to âMenu / Accountsâ.
Click on the current avatar in the âGeneralâ tab..
Choose a preset or upload your own image file.
Click âOKâ, then âSave & Closeâ.
The picture in the red circle from your screenshot looks like the email address avatar (that others see) when you send mail, and is automatically picked up from âeither your email account onlineâ like with a eg: Gmail address or Outlook address or other personal or business email account with avatar support,
Or can be picked up âfrom a domain account email address onlineâ via the domain fav icon if you use a domain email address.
Or can come âfrom gravatar.comâ if your have connected your email address in your account to gravatar.com which a lot of users do.
So go online and see if it has that avatar icon in the red circle in one of those places mentioned above.
Then if you find that avatar online and do change it, to then change it in eM Client to match, you do that by âdisabling and re-enabling the download of images from external sources in Settingsâ which clears the image cache and starts new.
Go to âMenu / Settings (Preferences) / Contacts / Generalâ and Disable the option âDownload avatars from external sourcesâ and click âApplyâ and âSave & Closeâ settings.
Then go back to Settings and enable the option âDownload avatars from external sourcesâ again and click âApplyâ & âSave & Closeâ . Your new email address image will then show up shortly.

Hi @mikeborecek
If you have used âgravatar.comâ as mentioned by @cyberzork you will not
see an immediate change, again as he says, it took about 10 days for my
image to change - I guess it depends on the cache flush rate.
Bonne chance!
Lucy_C
it is my Gmail profile picture.
