Email address links in web-browser don't open "New Mail" window.

Evaluating em client with numerous IMAP accounts using version 6.0.4.24928.0.

When I click on “send mail” links or email adresses in my web-browser, and point Windows to em client, a “New Mail” window containing the email address does not open, as would be expected, but instead the main window. Is this a bug or can this be configured?

Hello Phil,
if you have eM Client as a default mail app, you should get the New Mail window automatically.
Can you please tell me what version of eM Client are you currently running? To look into this we’ll need the exact version number from Help>About section.
What Internet browser are you using? Or does this issue happen with different browsers as well?

Thanks for the reply.
Em client version is 6.0.4.24928.0.

I was able to solve it, since after testing different browsers I found it was indeed firefox-related.
Wasn’t working in Firefox v45.0.1; Opera 36.0 and Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18230 working fine.

The “default application” setting in Firefox was faulty. Originally, it was set to “open with em client”. I had to set em client to default in “set default programs” in Windows (64bit Pro) and then set “mailto” to “open with em client (default)” in Firefox. Now everythings works as expected.
