Em Client will not start. I get a text box that states there is a corrupted file.

Hi Ruth,

This states that another program is accessing the database so eM Client can’t access it and start. Usually it’s caused by an antivirus software that might be scanning the files so please try disabling it to see if it helps. Rarely it is also caused by eM Client itself when there are multiple eM Client processes running. In this case, go to the task manager, kill all eM Client processes and restart the eM Client program.
