eM Client will actually send or receive emails

I keep getting errors trying to send and receive emails. eM Client keeps saying a tls error trying to contact pop and or smtp host. In have checked all of my email settings on my account and the fact that I entered them correctly. So just what is the problem?

Hi,
this points to some network communication problems. We will need you to send us logs of it:
If you have the newest version of our application (v3.0), you can achieve that by menu Tools->Settings->Logging, enable Network communication check-box and press Send Logs button (create the Logging directory if not existing).
If not, let us know.

Hello Gabriel,
I did as you said, it is telling me logs do not exist? Should I check off all of the other options above Network Communication as well?

Hello Gabriel

My new version of eM Client still does not send/receive emails. I checked my firewall etc., and everything there is fine. I even reinstalled the software. It is too bad, good looking email client. However, one would expect it to do its priority function, send/receive emails. I will store the software away and hopefully you and the other staff will resolve this.

I realize it is free and no one using such software should expect support. But, most people use free software to evaluate paid software and so far my evaluation is not good.

I wish you and all other people there good luck with this. I will check out frequently to see what is going on.

Hello,
the problem was that log files weren’t created when you tried to send them. So we need to create them first: let Network communication option enabled, try to simulate the issue (send/receive) and then turn off and turn on eM Client (it will save logs to files). After that use the menu instruction I wrote here above. If you cannot send even these logs, please, save them (during the procedure) and send them to us ([email protected]) by some other way.

I’m sorry but we need whole communication logs from you.
Go to menu Tools->Settings->Logging and check Network communication. Then restart eM Client, try to simulate the issue and send us the logs using the same logging settings window.

You have probably wrong settings because your domain shouldn’t contain ‘@’
Shouldn’t it be mail.optonline.net instead of [email protected] ?
