eM Client v7 - What are all the cryptic name folders after importing from v6?

Hello,

After a clean install of v7, I imported my v6 files.  Now the eM Client folder (AppData\Roaming\eM Client) has a bunch of folders with names like “2d72dr40-e06a-43f8-80d0-e61d787b5428”

These were NOT present after the clean v7 install, they appeared AFTER the v6 import.

Are these require or just used during the import?

Hello John,
these are part of the new database structure where your account data are stored separately (unlike version 6 where all your data was in joined files), but the names are encoded to ensure security.
Please do not remove these folders.
