I have a user with an IMAP inbox with 33k+ emails. Everything works as expected but all operations take a noticeable amount of time, approximately 5 seconds to delete an email or move it to another folder. An interim dialog box pops up saying “this operation make take a while to complete” on EVERY operation. Is this to do with the client? The server? Or the sheer number of emails in the inbox?
Hi, what version of eM Client are you using? What mail service are you using? Are you using IMAP?
I’m using the latest eMClient 6.0.20154.0. I’m using Rackspace email. I am using IMAP
Can you make a screenshot of your account settings from Tools > Accounts > Your account > IMAP?

Private domain using Rackspace email (not exchange)
Can you please try updating your client to this version (http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.20489/setup.msi), if that helps the issue,
I’m afraid this is simply caused by the number of items in your database, in case the update doesn’t help can you also try downloading this tool (http://www.emclient.com/tools/dbrepairrebuildall.exe), and run the tool, it will rebuild your database and that might help speed things up a little.
