eM Client not connecting to Chat


eM Client 5 has been returning an error every time I launch the app and/or try to change my chat status to Online.

Error: [XMPP] An attempt to connect to xxxxx@gmail.com failed. This could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings.

The settings are correct and unchanged, this error is not intermittent, it has been offline for a few weeks now and is only related to Chat, email and calendar sync is working normally.

The Log states: (Authentication failed because the remote party has closed the transport stream.)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Send us your logs please: go to the menu Tools->Settings->Advanced->Logging and check “XMPP” under the problematic account. Then restart eM Client, try to simulate the issue and send us (with reference to this topic) the logs using the same logging settings window. Thank you.
