Every so often my wife’s PC issues the dreaded message about eM Client being unable to load the database because it wasn’t shut down correctly, and the validation test fails. It happens on my PC also but much less often. At the end of the day we are both very careful to terminate all programs that are running, including eM Client. If a database backup is in progress, we wait for it to complete. So far every time this has happened, restarting the computer fixes the problem. After the restart eM Client runs the validation test successfully and starts. We have not had to resort to loading an earlier version of the database. Any idea why this happens?
