Hoe kan ik weer mijn mail opstarten?
Hello, I have had my messages with eM Client for years. Due to a glitch, I lost everything!
How can I start my email again?
You can download & install the same or later eM Client for PC or Mac from the release history page.
Then if you have been regularly backing up eM Client either automatically via periodic backup in Settings or manually via the Menu / Backup, you can restore all your email and settings from the backup.zip files via “Menu / File / Restore”.
Your old eM Client backup.zip files should be located in your “Documents / eM Client” folder for the restore to work.
Now if you haven’t been backing up eM Client, then if you have an IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud account (Non POP) go to “Menu / Accounts” (PC) or “eM Client / Accounts” (Mac) and click “Add Account” to resetup your account as new again. All your email will then reappear from your cloud mail shortly after adding it again.
Lastly if you had to manually reset up your account again from scratch, remember to activate it again as per the below.
Activate eM Client for Windows, “Menu / Help / License” and Activate.
Activate eM Client for Mac, “Help / License” and Activate.
Note:- If you have forgotten your activation key, go to the following link to get the key resend to your email address your initially registered. You would then get the key via your webmail and then paste it in eM Client to activate it.
