eM Client hangs after waking up from stand by.

This does not happen each time but has happened many times. The problem is: when my computer wakes up, sometimes eM is not able to get new mails. When I check the operations status, it shows that the IMAP connection to my gmail server is hanging there, with an empty progress bar. If I wait, it will stay like that forever. The only cure is to restart the program. It works but is annoying.

Anyway to fix this problem? I guess even a simple timer to restart the TCP connections in the program would avoid such problems.

  1. Download this application: http://www.emclient.com/tools/emstack… and run it after your computer wakes up. It will generate a log file (starting with “eM Client Stack” in your Documents folder) that will help us analyze the problem in more detail. Please attach this file to your reply.
  2. Go to: Tools - Settings - Logging, check “Network Communication” and restart eM Client. Try to simulate the issue and send us the log using the logging settings window. Thank you.
