eM Client GUI does not start while task is running

Hi Paul, no, I’m not using any anti-virus apart from the built in Windows Defender, which was already in Win 8.1 and continues in Win 10. Anyhow, I have turned off all its components (leaving Windows complaining that it was unprotected) and the problem continued exactly the same: almost always eM only turns off after killing the process in task manager. Not doing that will not allow launching the eM Client window again. (I think it turns off by itself but only lots of time after - 10 minutes or so.) Note this is a brand new ultrabook off-the-shelve Toshiba Kira. This is utterly weird and we cannot blame Win 10 as last week I immediately got the problem right after installing eM on the Win 8.1 that came with the computer.
