I have used the free version of eM Client now for over 6 months w/ no problem. The other day my computer completely froze and I had to do a force reboot. Now whenever I launch EM Client the OPERATIONS window comes up and things start to process. But then immediately an “eM Client Application Error” dialogue box comes up with “An error has occurred in the application that prevents it from continuing. The application will terminate.” along with a place to describe what you were doing and “Continue” and “Show error” buttons.
Any ideas / suggestions? I can’t even launch the application at this point.
hello Steve, sorry to see this, can you please click on the “Show error” button and copy the content of the error from the report window? Submit the error report to us here on the forum for more information about this error?

OK - this is weird. I had gone through this launch, crash, cancel sequence a dozen times this morning. This time, I clicked for the error report (as requested) and copied and pasted it into the forum web page and then went back to eM Client and clicked the “Continue” button. And it finished opening and is running now. The ONLY thing I did different than all these other times trying to start it was to view and copy and paste the error report.
Hello, try to update your eM Client to this release, 6.0.22774.0 and check if the issue persists, let me know if you continue to see this error. Based on the error it seems like eM Client has ran out of memory, so your database data should be safe at the moment.
Well, 2 months later this whole crashing on startup has started happening again. Here is the error from the crash box:

Installed update. Ran fine rest of the day. Came in this AM and launched - crashed immediately and now crashes at launch each time launched. I quit all other open programs to be sure it had plenty of memory available. Still crashes.
Think I fixed it. I deleted 10 emails with large PDF attachments in my INBOX from home last night (not using eM at home). When I launched eM this morning at a different location, those still showed in my INBOX. After crashing several times, I saw that after the crash dialogue came up, I could still work in the program. So I deleted those 10 emails again in eM and then closed the crash dialogue box and let eM finish crashing. When I relaunched, eM ran fine and those 10 messages were gone. Not sure why eM didn’t see that those messages had been deleted hours before. It seemed to be trying to load emails that no longer existed.
