Hello Jochen,
could you perhaps copy the error message or crash report when this happen? (Also, if the calendar isn’t personal, can you provide a link to it?)
Since we have not encountered this issue before, it would help us in resolving this issue.

It’s on 2 different Computers the same Problem.

I can send you the link in a private Message…

Hello,
please send me the link to rust@emclient.com
Also, please include a link to this forum thread so I can easily locate the issue description.
Thank you.

regards,
Olivia

I have the same problem.

Randy, I had previously done some extensive tests which included Internet Calendars and I had no problem with them. It was using eM Client 7.1.30794, and not the older version that you and Jochen are having the problem with. I also just subscribed to one using 7.1.32088 and there did not appear to be any problem. eM Client certainly did not crash.

I wonder if the problem has been fixed in the later versions. You could try it, because if the problem has been fixed then there is no point taking this thread any further.

To preserve your earlier version database simply rename C:\Users_username_\AppData\Roaming\eM Client. It is important that you do this because the 7.1 versions have a different database format, which is not backwards compatible when you want to revert to the older version. After renaming the folder, download and install the latest version from http://www.emclient.com/release-history. Don’t worry about setting up any email accounts, just subscribe to your Internet Calendar. Then you will know if it works for your calendar.

To revert to your older version, uninstall eM Client and delete C:\Users_username_\AppData\Roaming\eM Client. Rename the folder your previously renamed back to eM Client. Download and install the older version from http://www.emclient.com/release-history.

Let us know how that worked.

Gary,

I’ll give it a try when I have some time and let you know. The big issue though is that I can not “upgrade” to a newer version since they broke ActiveSync after the version I have. I was really trying to see if setting up an internet calendar would solve the problem of syncing the calendar across many devices or not as a workaround for ActiveSync issues.

The real solution of course is just to support ActiveSync. But, it seems the developers have their knees locked and just won’t do it.

Yeah, I guess ActiveSync is dead on the desktop platform, so nobody is really concerned with it. I am surprised it is still there in the latest version of eM Client, and as far as I know it works. If you are using Exchange a better option might be EWS.

BTW, one thing about Internet Calendars is that they are read-only, so fine for one-way syncing only.
