eM Client archiving concerns

I desperately want to replace Outlook, but eM Client’s archive function is turning out to be a major stumbling block to adopting this app. Keeping archives on the servers is not an option because of server disk usage constraints, and I cannot see keeping all archives in the active email file as a sustainable alternative. For example, I have literally 10s of Gigabytes of old archived PST files, going back maybe 30 years, I do not expect to accumulate that much more in my remaining lifetime and I don’t need to import these, but if I accumulated even another 3-4 GB in the active file (quite possible), it seems that would make things unworkable.

Is there ANY way in eM Client, to get these old emails accessibly backed up (like on a removable drive), then cleared out of the active data file? (Don’t tell me to open and save each one individually - I’d spend half my day, every day, doing it.)

Thanks for any guidance.

Unlike PST files, eM Client databases are only limited by the size of your disk. Adding another 100GB shouldn’t be a problem unless your database is on a mechanical disk, which would reduce performance.

Coming in version 10 we have Data Files. They are just like PST files in that you can mount them, move data to them, and unmount them again. Or just keep them mounted.

Thank you. I will probably buy your program. I’ve been using Outlook for a long time, but Microsoft is slowly killing it.
