EM Client 5.0.18661 FAIL at startup: New Account (Not Responding)

EM Client 5.0 hangs at New Account (Not Responding) after a clean install. I have removed antivirus, did a complete deletion of the emClient database, uninstalled emClient and then reinstalled. I ran the stack dump tool and output is below. I had been running an older version of the program on this computer and upgraded. Since then, I have been unable to use it.

I am running Win 7 SP1 32-bit on a Toshiba Satellite notebook PC with 2G of RAM.

Hi, can I ask you if your issue still prevails in newest versions?

Jan

I have not tried due to the difficulty of returning to a working setup.

ok, when you will try then please let us know.

Jan

I have this exact problem, after attempting a repair, then a remove, after deleting my (possibly corrupt) database. Latest version is being used. Where do we go from here, please?

Hello Matt, are you also using eM Client 5.0.18661? That’s a very outdated release, may you should upgrade to the latest release of eM Client 5 using this update, 5.0.20009.0 or to the latest release of eM Client 6 as the current release of eM Client, 6.0.22465.0 .

Thank you,

Hi Paul,

No, I just used this thread for convenience. As per my initial comment, I am using the latest version, downloaded today, clean install, same problem as before.

So it’s not the exact same problem. Since the original topic is kind of outdated, please make a screenshot of any errors that occur on your computer, and make sure you’re using the latest release of eM Client 6 - try to update to release I’ve linked above.

If the issue persists, please create a new topic for this issue with all the necessary data.

Thank you,
