Duplicate E-mails

I installed the software and imported my info from outlook and all was well. I then went to change my e-mail password and ran into an issue. eM Client re-downloaded all my e-mails again. So how do you remove duplicate e-mails and keep it from happening with an e-mail password change? I really don’t want to have this issue again when change my password.
