Does moving an IMAP inbox email to a local folder remove the email from the server?

Also, if you have a msg rule to direct certain email to a local folder, is that email removed from the server once received?

Hi, yes it will disappear. Moving from account “inbox” folder to local folders is considered as “deleted email” for the server.

If you will move that email from local folders to “Inbox” folder later then it will be synchronized again.
