Does eM Client support the new Google Admin SDK API's?

Wondering if eM Client supports the new API’s. Got an e-mail in my inbox today regarding that.

Hello James, eM Client 6 currently does not support this API, however it might be included in an upcoming release of eM Client 7 for use with some features.

So does this mean version 6 will cease to work with Google Apps as they are updating the API’s?

Hello again James, with each API deprecation, the following occurs, old API starts to be on a “run-off” period (takes about a year or two) during which the features are deprecated or removed for use with third party applications, as far as I know there’s nothing currently blocking the standard functionalities with your Google account.
