Active Sync with Outlook.com does not support using your own eMail domain to send. The outlook.com/lic.com/hotmail address is used instead.
So if one uses his Microsoft account that he set up online with his own non-microsoft eMail address, the eM Client account musst be set up as SMTP sender to use the own eMail address with outlook.com.
As a result, please add an option to setup hotmail with Active Sync for contacts and calender but use SMTP in favour of Active Sync for sending eMail.
