This is an important problem because it can result in missing important work or other things.
When you create new recurrent task you can set reminder only for first occurence. All other occurrence reminders have to be set manually after the first task is finished so they cannot be disabled.
This is unintuitive, so I’ve created an Idea to fix it.
I’m having the same issue. I have the task default reminder set for one week, which works fine for the first instance of the task but all other reoccurrences miss the reminder. This means you have to constantly go in to every task and manually add the reminders and most likely will end up missing some.
