Disable email address colors

As in the screen clip, the last update caused my email addresses under the unified inbox to be colored. Also true of the inbox folders in the individual account folder lists further below. I have searched high and low througout the program and haven’t found how to restore them all to black. Is this possible? Thx.

Could possible be your Theme or Appearance or Tag color Settings have changed.

Are you using a Custom Theme or one of the default Themes ?

If you are using one of the default Themes, go to “Menu / Settings / Mail / Read” and see if you have set “Use color from theme” for both options.

If you are using a custom theme, “try one of the default themes” like Modern via “Menu / Settings / Appearance / Themes” to see if it makes any difference to test.

Also check if you have have “Use color of tag as text color” disabled via “Menu / Settings / Appearance / Lists” as if thats enabled, that might be possibly be causing this issue depending on the Theme you have.

Also go to "Menu / Tags and see under the “Mails” heading if the “Local Tag” colors look the same as previously, or if the colors have changed since upgrading.

If you have Outline Folder Colors “right click on the folder” and click “Folder Color” and you can change the folder colour near the bottom as in the below Outlook.com account.

If its a Gmail account, the folder colors are changed via going to “Menu / Tags” and clicking the dropdown on the right of Local Folders and selecting you Gmail Account. Then right click / edit.

Thanks for all the detailed suggestions! I’ll run through them and report. I didn’t change anything other than updating, hence my puzzlement.

Also one other thing, for a Gmail account check under the IMAP Tab icon “Menu / Accounts” that the tick box “Show random colours for tags downloaded from the server” is disabled.

(eM Client IMAP Tab Gmail account)

The setting can be located in Settings - General - Folders - Colors
Use folder color for - Icon and text
You can change it to Icon only if you dont want the account address to be colored.
The color is taken from account’s Inbox color in case you want to modify it.

Thanks everyone. I worked through all of these suggestions in order and found the last one to do the trick.

General=>Folders=>Colors - User folder color for … “Icon only” or “Ignore folder colors” was the setting that worked.

A minor issue, but I found the colors distracting.\

Thanks again, …Pete
