I set up a new Yahoo email account yesterday and want to get messages downloaded to eM Client. From some community notes, I have set up a POP3 (host is “pop.mail.yahoo.com” and port is 995) and an SMTP (host is “smtp.mail.yahoo.com” and port is 465). On security policy, I have checked “Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)”. For authentication on POP3 and SMTP I have checked “Use identity credentials”. I was able to get some messages downloaded and one sent when I turned off Norton antivirus and firewall, but since turning them back on I have been getting error messages stating that connecting to my yahoo email account failed for both POP3 and SMTP. I need help in how to correct this.
Hi John. You will need to check your Norton documentation, or inquire from a Norton forum on how to enable applications and ports.
