Diagnosing forever.

It seems I’m not alone with this problem. We’ve had the same account with Telstra server for years and have used Outlook 2007 with no problem.  But time to change. . EMC can’t find the server.  Eventually ‘fixes’ pop section but smtp section still a mystery.
I gave up a couple of years ago for same reasons and hoped a new look at EMC would be more positive.  Nothing to do with any antivirus or firewall.  What to do?

You could enter the server details yourself.

IMAP
Host: imap.telstra.com
Port: 993
Security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

POP3
Host: pop.telstra.com
Port: 995
Security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

SMTP   
Host: smtp.telstra.com
Port: 465
Security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

I did all that.  Using POP3 still.

Once those settings are in eM Client, restart the application and see if there are any errors.

Has anyone solved this. Am trying to use Telstra with EM. After using legacy port fixes SMTP. But IMAP just fails?
