default font for emails will not change

I am having trouble changing the default font on my emails. I go to tools-settings-mail-preferred font for my emails and when I revise the font and apply this change it will not accept it. Any ideas?

Hello Randy,

There are two settings in eM Client where you can set this.
Are you referring to Read section or Compose, they are both under Mail in Settings?
Please clarify what version of eM Client do you have installed.

I have exactly the same issue with the version 7.2.38732.0. I change the preferred font in “compose” section, but when I start new email, the font is not what I defined.
